Adjusting the Chucking Pressure
Before chucking a workpiece, the chucking pressure must be adjusted.
The type and installation position of the chucking pressure adjustment handle varies
depending on the machine model.
For details, refer to the DRAWINGS published separately.
1)
Loosen the chucking pressure adjustment handle
lock nut by turning it counterclockwise.
2)
While reading the pressure gage, adjust the
chucking pressure by turning the chucking pressure
adjustment handle.
CCW rotation. . . Pressure decrease
CW rotation . . . . Pressure increase
Exercise due care when setting the pressure.
3)
Using the chuck opening/closing footswitch, operate
the chuck several times to verify the set chucking
pressure.
4)
Repeat steps 2) and 3) until the required chucking
pressure is obtained.
5)
Tighten the chucking pressure adjustment handle
lock nut by turning it clockwise.
