10. WARNINGS ON USE
10.1 General precautions
1.
Do not use the scooter on public highways. Please be aware that it may be difficult for
drivers to see you when you are sitting on the scooter. Always use pedestrian routes.
Comply with the rules of pedestrian traffic. Wait for the way to be clear, then proceed with
extreme caution.
2.
Before getting on and off your scooter, always check that it is switched off and that the
battery charger is disconnected, to avoid injury to yourself and to others.
3.
Always check that the drive wheels are in drive mode before driving. Do not switch off the
scooter when it is still moving, as it would stop very suddenly.
4.
Do not use this product or any other optional accessory available without first reading
and understanding this manual completely. If you do not understand the warnings, the
precautions or the instructions, contact the retailer or a healthcare operator before
attempting to use the device, to avoid injury or damage.
5.
In certain cases, such as several medical conditions, the scooter user will need practice
in use of the scooter in the presence of a qualified assistant, who may be a relative or a
professional qualified to assist the user in use of the scooter during day-to-day activities.
6.
Avoid lifting or moving the scooter by gripping one of its removable parts, including the
armrests, seat or fairing. This could cause personal injury and/or damage the scooter.
7. Avoid using the scooter beyond its limits, as described in this manual.
8. Do not sit on the scooter when it is inside a moving vehicle.
9.
Keep your hands away from the wheels (tyres) while driving the scooter. Please remember
that loose clothing could get caught in the wheels.
10.
Consult your doctor if you are taking drugs or if you have specific physical limitations.
Certain drugs and certain limitations could prevent safe use of the scooter.
11. Always check that the wheel locking/unlocking lever is locked or unlocked.
12. Do not remove the roll-over protection wheels if they are present on the scooter.
13.
Contact with tools could cause an electric shock; do not connect an electrical extension
cord to the AC / DC converter or to the battery charger.
14.
The scooter can be driven on a maximum estimated slope of 12°/21%. However, take great
care when using the scooter on slopes over 10°/17%.
15. Do not drive on a slope over the limit of the scooter.
16.
Avoid reversing off steps, pavements or other obstacles. This could cause the scooter to
fall/tip over.
17.
Always reduce speed and maintain a stable centre of gravity on tight curves. Do not use the
maximum power on tight curves.
18.
Using the scooter in the rain, snow or foggy conditions and on icy or slippery surfaces could
damage the electrical wiring.
19.
Never sit on the scooter when it is being used with any type of lift or lifting device. The
scooter is not designed for this use. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or injury
caused by improper use.
10.2 Changes
The scooters in the Ardea Mobility range have been designed and constructed to satisfy all
your needs for practical, correct and safe use. Do not alter, add, remove or disable any part or
function of the scooter under any circumstances. This could cause damage to the scooter and/
or personal injury.

The control parameter must only be altered by authorised technicians, for safety reasons.
2.
It is recommended to carry out a safety check before every use of the scooter to ensure that
it is functioning safely.
