33--41--02 -- POWER SUPPLY(IES) UNIT INSTAL-
LATION
The installation of power supply(ies) is reverse se-
quence of removal procedures.
-- CAUTION --
STROBE LIGHT WIRING -- An incorrect hook--up
of wires, at either the power input or between
strobe light assemblies and power supply unit
will cause a reversal of polarity that results in
serious component damage and failure. Care
must be taken to ensure that the red wire is con-
nected to positive power and the black wire to
ground.
33--41--03 -- STROBE/NAVIGATION LIGHT RE-
PLACEMENT
1. WING TIP STROBE/NAVIGATION LIGHT.
A. Remove screws (2) (ref. Fig. 33--5) holding re-
tainer against strobe/navigation light lenses. Remove
lenses and gaskets. This will allow strobe light assem-
bly and navigation light bulbs (rear nav light has a set
screw securing the bulb to the mounting pate) to be
loosened from mounting plate.
B. Remove three screws (3) that secure the mount-
ing plate/light assembly to the wing tip. Pull base plate
away from wing tip to expose wiring harness and con-
nectors.
-- WARNING --
High voltage is involved in circuit between power
supply and strobe light assemblies. Although a
bleed--off resistor is incorporated in power sup-
ply circuit, turn control switch for Strobe Lights --
OFF; allow at least 20 minutes to elapse prior to
disconnecting cables at power supply or strobe
light assemblies or before handling either of
these units in any way. Failure to observe these
precautions may result in physical injury from
electrical shock.
C. Disconnect lamp pigtail from harness.
D. Install new navigation bulbs/strobe light assem-
bly in reverse sequence of removal.
