-- CAUTION --
Never use benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ace-
tone, or gasoline for cleaning Plexiglass or interi-
or panels. Carefully follow the manufacturer’s
instructions when using commercial cleaning
and finishing compounds.
5. Carpet is bonded to the cabin floor with adhesive
(3M 1300, St. Claire 4587 or Scotch Grip 1357).
Foam type shampoos may be used for routine cleaning
of carpets. To minimize carpet wetting, keep foam type
cleaners as dry as possible and gently rub in circles.
Use wet/dry vacuum cleaner to remove foam and dry
the materials. Grease spots, on carpet, should be re-
moved with jelly--type spot lifter. Do not saturate carpet
with a solution which could damage backing materials.
A. Carpet Cleaning Instructions
Always pre--test cleaners, detergents and solvents in
an inconspicuous area for colorfastness.
(1) Sponge stains with a solution of household
detergent and lukewarm water. DO NOT SOAK. Follow
this by rubbing with a damp cloth, rinsing the cloth be-
tween each treatment.

Do not use soap, washing powder, ammonia,
soda or bleach. Prompt cleaning will remove
most stains. Improper treatment may increase
damage.
6. Clear Vinyl pockets are attached to the interior side
panels of the aircraft.
A. Clear Vinyl Cleaning Instructions
(1) Gently wipe clean with mild soap and water
applied with a soft, clean, white lint--free cloth. DO NOT
rub forcefully. Scratches to the vinyl surface may result.
(2) Allow to air dry after cleaning.
25--10--00 -- FLIGHT COMPARTMENT
25--10--01 -- SEATS
Crew and passenger seats are of Mooney Airplane
Company, Inc. manufacture. The front seats are indi-
vidually mounted and may be adjusted fore and aft to fit
individual comfort preferences. The front seat back
may be adjusted by turning left side hand crank (knob)
until seat back is in desired position.
Both optional front seat configurations allow for vertical
seat height adjustment by turning right side hand crank
to raise or lower the entire seat assembly.
Tri--Flow lubricant (or Teflon equivalent) is recom-
mended for lubricating the metal rotating components
of adjustable seats.
The rear seat backs have four (4) adjustment positions.
Each seat can be adjusted independent of the other by
pulling up on respective release handle located on left
or right of aircraft centerline on forward spar. This al-
lows adjustment from approximately 10
o
to 40
o
recline
position.
The pilot and co--pilot seats may be removed by remov-
ing seat track pins or bolts, forward and aft; push seat
forward to lift up front of seat structure, then aft to lift up
rear rollers of seat structure. Installation is the reverse
of removal.
25--10--02 -- SEAT BELTS/RESTRAINTS
1. General
A. Seat Belt Systems (Standard Equipment)
Seat belts equipped with inertia--reel shoulder har-
nesses for pilot and copilot positions are standard Re-
straint Systems for the Mooney M20TN. Seat belts with
shoulder harness are standard Restraint System for
rear seat occupants.
The service life of the Restraint System is subject to pe-
riodic inspection while in service and depends on the
service environment in which it is used and the degree
of use over the installation period. This subsequently
places the responsibility for the continued airworthi-
ness of the restraint on the operator since the flight
times, usage, and operating environment will vary by
operator.
Routinely check the belt, buckle, latch plate, retractor
and guide loops for proper operation. Also check for
loose or damaged parts that could keep the Restraint
System from operating properly. Keep sharp edges and
sharp objects away from the belts and other compo-
nents of the Restraint System.
If the restraint is no longer usable based on the inspec-
tion for continued or renewed airworthiness, the Re-
straint System must be discarded or returned to re-
straint manufacturer or restraint manufacturer
approved repair station for overhaul/repair.
B. Inflatable Airbag Restraint Systems (Optional
Equipment)
-- CAUTION --
The Inflatable Airbag Restraint System is “live”
when all connections are made and the buckle is
connected.
The Inflatable Airbag Restraint System Inflator is
a stored gas/energetic device. Severe personal
injury may be caused by misuse or tampering
An optional Airbag Restraint System is available.
These restraints are installed specific to an aircraft seat
and are not interchangeable between seats. Specific
system components have a predetermined service life
and time sensitive refurbishment requirements.
Refer to 25--10--03 and the Restraint System manufac-
turer documentation (supplied with system) for safe
handling instructions, inspection intervals, mainte-
nance, troubleshooting, warnings and cautions.
2. Inspection Intervals (Standard Restraint System)
A. Concurrently with the airworthiness inspection
of the airframe.
