Figure 8.b
Side Vent Venting Graph for wall mounted terminations.
Example A: (Acceptable Installation)
If the vertical dimension from the hearth is 120" and the horizontal
run to the wall flange of the vent termination is 138", this would be an
acceptable installation.
Example B: (Unacceptable Installation)
If the vertical dimension from the hearth is 48" and the horizontal run
to the wall flange of the vent termination is 96", this would be would
not be an acceptable installation.
Example C: (Unacceptable Installation)
If the vertical dimension from the floor of the fireplace is 60" and the
horizontal run to the wall flange of the vent termination is 144", this
would not be an acceptable installation.
Notes Wall Mounted Terminations: Rear Vent
• All dimension lengths for vertical or horizontal runs are measured
from center of the vent pipe.
• Vent runs must fall within the limits set by the venting graphs, see
Figure 15.
•
Fireplace must be converted to Rear Vent configuration prior to
running vent, see Figure 9 and 9a.
Side Venting Layout: Wall mounted
termination. L42ST:
Measure the vertical height from the fireplace hearth to the centre of
the termination and the horizontal run from the fireplace flue collar
to the wall flange of the termination. Plot on the Venting Graph Figure
15 with an 'X'.
If the 'X' falls on or above the top boundary of the shaded area, the
installation is acceptable.
Figure 9.c
Side Vented, wall mounted Multi-elbow termination installation. Installation for
L42DF*-ST must have a minimum vertical rise of 54".The vent run must comply with the Venting
Graph for Side vent, wall mounted terminations, Figure 13.
