How to Use

Express Cooking

Rather than selecting a power level and precise time for cooking, you can quickly 
start cooking at 100% power, using two different methods:

1.  In standby mode, press the 

Add 30 Sec

 button to set the cooking time in 30 

second increments. This button can be pressed multiple times to increase cook-
ing time.

2.  In standby mode, press buttons

 for 1

6 minutes of 

cook time.

Weight Defrost

1.  Press 

Weight Defrost

; the display will show “DEF1.”

2.  Use the 

Number Pad

 to input weight to be defrosted (weight must be entered 

in pounds and ounces up to 6 lb.).

3.  Press 

Start/Pause

 to start defrosting. The microwave will beep and pause to let 

you know when to turn food over for even defrosting.

If weight on label is shown only in pounds, use the chart below to convert the frac-
tion of the pound to ounces.

Timed Defrost

While defrosting, the current power level (30% is default) can be seen by pressing 
the Power Level button. Use the Number Pad to change the Power Level.

Auto Cook

With the Auto Cook programs, the power level and time are set for you. This is 
one-touch cooking at its best. 

POTATOES:
Press the 

Potato

 Auto Cook button one to three times for one to three potatoes.

POPCORN:
Press the 

Popcorn

 Auto Cook button once for a 3.5-oz. bag.

PIZZA:
Press the 

Pizza

 Auto Cook button once for one piece and twice for two pieces of 

pizza.

BEVERAGE:
Press the 

Beverage

 Auto Cook button up to four times for every four ounces of 

beverage. One press = 4 oz. Four presses = 16 oz.

FROZEN DINNER:
Press the 

Frozen Dinner

 Auto Cook button once for one 7

9 oz. frozen dinner or 

twice for a larger frozen dinner or two smaller dinners.

REHEAT:
Press the 

Reheat

 Auto Cook button once to reheat 10

14 oz. of food.

Multistage Cooking

The microwave oven can be programmed for up to 3 automatic cooking sequences 
(one speed defrost with two microwave cooking programs or two stages of micro-
wave cooking programs). Suppose you want to set the following cooking program:
microwave cooking followed by microwave cooking with a lower power level.
1.  Use the 

Number Pad

 to enter the desired cooking time.

2.  Press 

Power Level

 then use the 

Number Pad

 to set the power level.

3.  Press 

Time Cook

 and enter desired cooking time for the 2nd stage cooking 

using the Number Pad.

4.  Press 

Power Level

 then use the 

Number Pad

 to select the 2nd stage power 

level.

5.  Press 

Start/Pause

.

Note:

 Express and Auto Cook cannot be set in multistage cooking mode.
