ATTENTION
: crossing snowfields, muddy and slippery small paths (with slippery tree roots or wet and
slippery stones) with steep descends at one side can be dangerous ! Walking in mountains require
experiences and requires good shoes!
If you have to cross snowfields or muddy and slippery paths ( with slippery tree roots or wet and slippery
stones), be aware that the Monowalker hiking trailer can slide away with its wheel (if the wheel is wet,
muddy or full with snow) . The wheel can slide down into a precipice. In such a situation
you will not
hold a fully loaded trailer!
If you can foresee such a section, take off your shoulder-belts from the
Monowalker hipbelt and carry the trailer only with your hipbelt or just with your hands! Your hipbelt has
two different emergency buckles. One buckle is at the frontside of your hipbelt and can be opened with
one hand within one second. It works as well under drag force of your loaded trailer
The second emergency buckle-set you will find left and right on your hipbelt: the snaphooks that connect
you with the trailer handles do have latches, that you may pull in case of an emergency, but with both
hands. These will release within a second.
If your trailer slides away, release the buckles and let the trailer fall. Don`t try to hold it, to save your
gear. Your life is more important! Don`t carry pets in such a situation on your hiking trailer. Never carry
kids on the trailer. If you do so, it’s on your own risk.
