EDID MANAGEMENT
The Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) is used by
the source device to match its video resolution with the
capabilities of the connected display. The EDID switch on the
front panel is used to set the basic behavior of the EDID
system.
L.RES: When set to this position, the splitter reads the EDID of all connected
displays and uses the EDID of the least capable display.
PRESET: When set to this position, the splitter will obtain its EDID from the position
of the DIP switches on the rear panel.
H.RES: When set to this position, the splitter reads the EDID of all connected
displays and uses the EDID of the most capable display.
The EDID PRESET DIP switches on the rear panel allow you to
specify the exact EDID settings to send to the video source
device. The following table shows the individual DIP switch
settings for various EDID combinations.
