Amplifier
(not shown) - This subwoofer is powered by a 200-watt (RMS) power
amplifier. This amplifier will provide the driver with all the needed power, while
ensuring the sound is crisp, clean, loud, and distortion free at all times.
5.
Bass Reflex Port
- This specially tuned port is designed to allow bass signals to
escape from the rear of the enclosure. The shape and size of this port enhances the
bass response, resulting in a fuller sound.
6.
XLR Inputs
(Left + Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of XLR connectors for
balanced signal inputs. The pin out is printed on the back of the subwoofer and is as
follows for XLR connectors:
XLR pin 1 = ground signal (shield)
XLR pin 2 = positive signal (+)
XLR pin 3 = negative signal (-)
7.
TRS Inputs
(Left + Right) - This subwoofer can accept balanced or unbalanced TRS
or unbalanced TS inputs. The TRS input will override the XLR input at all times (i.e., if
there is signal running into the XLR inputs and a cable is plugged into the TRS input,
the XLR signal will not come through). The pin out is printed on the back of the
subwoofer and is as follows for TRS connectors:
TRS Tip = positive signal (+)
TRS Ring = negative signal (-)
TRS Sleeve = ground signal (sleeve)
8.
XLR Outputs
(Left + Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of XLR connectors for
balanced signal outputs. These connections output only those frequencies that are
above the low-pass filter's cutoff point.
9.
TRS Outputs
(Left+ Right) - This subwoofer includes a pair of balanced or
unbalanced TRS or unbalanced TS outputs. These connections output only those
frequencies that are above the low-pass filter's cutoff point.
10.
Volume Control
- Rotate this knob clockwise to increase volume and
counterclockwise to decrease volume.
11.
Low Pass Filter
- This knob will determine which frequencies are sent to the
subwoofer and which are cutoff and sent to the outputs. Rotate the knob clockwise
to increase the cutoff frequency to a maximum of 150Hz. Rotate the knob
counterclockwise to decrease the cutoff frequency to a minimum of 50Hz.
