6. TRANSPORTING YOUR SCOOTER
DISASSEMBLY
Removing the Seat
1. Remove the key.
2. Make sure that the scooter brake is engaged.
3. Loosen the adjustment knobs. Slide the arms off the scooter if you are not able to carry
the seat with the weight of the arm- rests attached. See Fig. 5.
4. Remove the seat by pulling up and holding the seat lever and lifting the seat straight up
and out of the seat post. See Fig. 10.
5. The seat can be folded for compact storing.
Removing the Rear Shroud
1. Pull up on the sides of the shroud.
2. Lift the shroud up and off the scooter. See Fig. 11.
Removing the Batteries
1. After removing the shroud, loosen the Velcro ™ straps from around each battery. See
Fig. 12.
2. Squeeze the locking ear on the connector and disconnect the batteries from the frame.
See Fig. 13.
3. Remove the batteries one at a time.
4. Lower the tiller, which will automatically lock into place once lowered.
5. Wrap the V straps around the Delta tiller to help secure it.
NOTE: The key must be removed from the key switch to fully lower the tiller. The tiller will
only lock when it is in the center position.
