2 Security notes
The unit corresponds to the directive 89/336/EEC for
electromagnetic compatibility.

The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
●
Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permissi-
ble ambient temperature range 0–40 °C).
●
The heat being generated in the unit has to be re-
moved via air circulation. Therefore the circulation
vents at the housings must not be covered with any
objects.
●
Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents! This
could result in a short-circuit.
●
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is connected in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, there is no
liability for possible damage.
●
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.

If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
bring it to a local recycling plant for disposal.
3 Application range
The LCD colour monitors TVLCD-400COL and TVLCD-
410COL in TFT active matrix technology offer a sharp
and high contrast display. They can be universally
applied, e. g. in surveillance systems, in reverse moni-
toring car systems or for multimedia applications.
Moreover, an additional audio input enables sound
transmission via headphones (model TVLCD-400COL)
or via an inside speaker (model TVLCD-410COL).
4 Installation
The model TVLCD-400COL in a robust metal case is
suitable for mounting into furniture, walls, etc., where-
as the model TVLCD-410COL in a light plastic case
has been designed for mobile application.
a Model TVLCD-400COL
Insert four screws into the mounting holes at the
front panel and mount the device to the desired
location.
b Model TVLCD-410COL
The device can be installed without support or it
can be mounted with the 6.3 mm (

") photo thread
on the bottom side to a bracket. Additionally, the
device has a hinged installation bracket at the rear
panel for tilted installation.
5 Connection
1) Connect the video input (6) with the video output of
the signal source.
2) Connect the audio input (5) - stereo left L and right
R for TVLCD-400COL, mono for TVLCD-410COL -
with the audio output of the signal source.
3) For model TVLCD-400COL: Connect stereo head-
phones to the 3.5 mm jack (3).
4) Connect an electronically regulated 12 V power
supply (e. g. the MONACOR models PS-1204ST or
PS1515ST) to the 12 V DC jack (7). The positive
pole must be connected to the medium contact.
A low voltage connector 5.5/2.1 mm (diam. outside/
inside) is required for connection.
6 Operation
1) Switch on the device with the power switch (4).
2) Adjust the brightness control (2) in order to obtain
an image as clear and sharp as possible.
3) Adjust the volume for the headphones (model
TVLCD-400COL) or for the inside speakers (model
TVLCD-410COL) to the desired level with the
volume control (3).
CAUTION: When using headphones do not adjust
a high volume. Permanent high volumes may dam-
age a person´s hearing! The human ear gets ac-
customed to high volumes which do not seem to be
that high after some time. Therefore, do not further
increase a high volume after getting used to it.
