3 Applications
The TFT LCD monitor TFT-1002LED with LED back-
light is ideally suited for surveillance systems, but it
can also be used for other purposes, e . g . for multi-
media applications . For audio reproduction, the
monitor is equipped with two integrated speakers .
The monitor features two HDMI
TM
inputs, a
VGA input and a BNC input for a video source
with composite video signal . It has a feed-through
output to feed the BNC input signal to an addi-
tional unit . Furthermore, the USB port allows
reproduction of JPEG or MP3 files (e . g . from a
USB flash drive) .
The following accessories are supplied with the
monitor: An infrared remote control, a monitor
stand, a power supply unit including a separate
mains cable, a VGA cable and an RCA cable .
4 Setting Up / Installation
Use the stand to set up the monitor on a flat and
solid surface . To adjust the desired angle of incli-
nation, turn the monitor around the horizontal axis
[(A) in fig . 2] of the stand .
Alternatively, use another monitor support
complying with the VESA 75 standard instead of
the stand .
5 Connections
5.1 Video sources with HDMI output
The monitor is provided with two digital inputs
HDMI
TM
1 and 2 (7) . If the video source offers an
HDMI output (e . g . on a recorder), this output
should be preferred; the video quality of a digital
connection is usually higher . Connect the source
(e . g . via a cable HDMC-… from MONACOR) to
an HDMI
TM
input . Both video and audio data are
transmitted via this connection .
5.2 Video sources with analog output
– If the video source sends a composite video signal
(e . g . a surveillance camera), connect the video
output of the source to the VIDEO input (9), e . g .
via a 75 Ω cable BNC-… from MONACOR .
Via the VIDEO output (10) next to the input,
the signal of the VIDEO input can be routed, e . g .
to an additional monitor or to a recorder . If the
output is not connected, the VIDEO input will be
automatically terminated with 75 Ω .
– If the video source sends its video signal via a
VGA output (e . g . computer), connect the output
to the VGA input (8) via the VGA cable provided .
Audio connection:
The sound of one of the two
sources can be reproduced via the AUDIO input
(11) . Connect the audio output of the desired
source to the stereo input: jack R = right channel,
jack L = left channel . A corresponding RCA cable
is provided .
5.3 USB connection
To reproduce pictures in JPEG format or audio files
in MP3 format, connect a USB flash drive or a USB
hard disk with separate power supply to the USB
port (6) . Make sure that the storage medium is
formatted with FAT32 and that it only has one
partition .
Note:
Due to the large number of different USB storage
media, it cannot be guaranteed that each USB storage
medium is compatible with the monitor .
5.4 Power supply
A power supply unit and a mains cable are supplied
with the monitor . Connect the mains cable to the
power supply unit . Connect the power supply unit
to the jack “12 V
⎓
” (5) and to a mains socket
(230 V/ 50 Hz) via the mains cable . The monitor is
switched on as soon as it is supplied with power
via the power supply unit .
