When using the optional C-Frame stand, be sure the C-Frame
stand assembly is securely fastened to a clean, sturdy workbench
or table in a well-lighted area. Fasten the stand with two #3/8-16
SHCSs, nuts, and washers of sufficient length for the tabletop.
(Not supplied). See Figure 2-3. (Some stands may have two
mounting holes instead of four.)
2.3 Installation of Tool Kits
Before crimping, set the recommended air pressure gauge for the
hydraulic pump (See Section 2.1) to obtain the proper crimp.
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the air supply until the system is
ready to operate.

Connect the female coupler firmly with the male coupler of high-pressure rubber hose, which is attached
to the hydraulic pump.

Select the proper set of dies for the terminal being crimped. The wire size is marked on each die. See
Section 3.3.
CAUTION:
Be sure to use the correct pair of dies
for the appropriate wire and terminal.

The anvil and punch tool kit is installed in the
tool from either side, one at a time. To install
the punch, lift the release knob until the tool
holder pin is fully withdrawn from the holder
cavity. Slide the punch (nest) into the lower
tool holder until it is centered. Release the
knob. Make sure the punch is locked in place.

To install the anvil, push the die release pin
until the tool holder pin is fully withdrawn from
the holder cavity. Slide the anvil (indentor) into
the upper tool holder until the anvil is centered.
Release the pin, make sure it is securely locked
in place.
5.
The color code markings should both be on the
same side after installation.
6.
The punch and anvil may be reversed upper to
lower if application requires.
CAUTION:
A wrong combination of dies may cause critical damage to the tool.
