Installation
1.
Be sure sink surface is clean and dry.
2.
Apply Teflon tape to external threads on two (2)
flexible
hoses and assemble one hose to each valve body. For models
with waste assembly (8134, 8135) carefully assemble the free
ends of the two (2) flexible hoses to the plastic tee and secure
firmly.
3.
Place a bead of plumber's putty (not included) around the
underside of the escutcheons and spout.
4.
Insert spout through center hole of sink and secure with fiber
washer and mounting nut.
5.
Assemble a mounting nut and fiber washer onto each valve
body and insert the valve bodies through the sink holes from
under the sink.
6.
Assemble the escutcheons to the valve bodies from above the
sink until escutcheons meet the bevel on valve bodies as shown
in illustration 1 at right.
7.
Tighten mounting nuts by hand.
8.
A. For models less waste assembly (8130, 8131) see illustra-
tion 2. Apply Teflon tape to end of spout shank and to each end
of brass tee. Attach brass tee to the end of spout shank and
secure. Connect ends of flexible hose to tee and secure firmly.
B. For models with waste assembly (8134, 8135) see illustra-
tion 3. Place the rubber gasket in the large opening of the plastic
tee. Assemble the tee and gasket to the bottom of the spout
using the small o-ring and wing nut. Secure firmly.
9.
Assemble two (2) handles, handle washers and screws to
stems. Refer to illustration 5 on page 3 for handle assembly.
10. Check faucet location and make final tightening with a basin
wrench.

Flushing
IMPORTANT:
Pipe chips, sand, stones and other solids found in new construction plumbing can
damage the sealing surface of the faucet cartridge and cause a leak. To avoid
damage,
DO NOT
OPERATE VALVE
until you have followed these instructions:
a. Make sure all water supplies are
OFF
.
b. Remove handle parts and cartridge (see “Disassembly”
on page 3 for detailed instructions).
c. At the supplies, slowly turn both hot and cold water on
and thoroughly flush out the body and lines.
d. Turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
e. After flushing, reassemble valves, open both supplies, turn
faucet on and check installation for leaks.
