correct position.

Lighter and Gas Safety Device

Clean the lighter and gas security sensor after cooking, especially if there are drips or spills from the pan throughout the
cooking process.

Perform inspection on the following matters before contacting our Call Center upon finding any disturbance on your gas
stove:

Lighter is

malfunctioning

Check the power cord outlet. Is the cord removed from the source of electricity?

Make sure that the outlet has electricity current. If the power is out and the automatic

lighter cannot be used, use match.

Make sure that the star button is pressed / operated properly.

Is the voltage 220 volt? Electricity voltage below 210 volt will render the lighter

inoperable.

Smell of Gas

Make sure all knobs on the stove are OFF.

Are the gas hose and regulator installed properly?

Perform gas leak test on the gas hose, regulator and gas tube, especially on the

connection part.

If the room still smells of gas, immediately remove the regulator from gas
cylinder.

Do not light fire in the above condition

Abnormal fire

(red / small /

unstable)

Make sure that the burner’s position on the stove is correct (aligned properly).

Check whether there is adequate amount of gas in the gas stove

Check whether gas supply is clean (for natural gas usage)

Check whether the knob (fire adjustment) is on the required position

Is the stove located in a room with good air circulation?

Make sure the stove/burner is not soaked with spilled food, which may clog the fire

hole.

Clean the stove/burner, including the fire holes on the stove/burner.

Check whether the sprayer/nozzle is covered in dirt

•

Always turn down the fire or put out the fire before lifting the pan from the burner.

•

During the cooking process, oil or fat must be treated carefully since it may ignite fire upon reaching certain temperature

•

Do not close the stove cover when the burner is still hot and the kitchen utensils still installed on the grid.

•

Upon smelling a distinct gas odor, remove the regulator from the gas cylinder immediately. Do not
light any fire and contact MODENA Call Center.
