Installation

• Attach the converter (1) in the model.

Choose a position which is as far away
as possible from the receiver.
The converter (1) should not be in-
stalled directly next to any strong elec-
trical motor either.

• You can use, e.g., hook and loop tape

or double-sided tape to attach the con-
verter (1).

• Connect the converter’s (1) battery ca-

ble (2) to a free receiver connection.

Alternatively, the converter can also be operated independently of a receiver power supply by
connecting it to a separate rechargeable battery (recommended). Observe the colour code.
Black cable = minus, red cable = plus.

• Attach the switch (3) so that it can be operated easily. Use Velcro or double-sided tape to attach

the switch.

• Install all cables so that they cannot become entangled in rotating or moving parts of the model.

Use cable ties to secure them.

• Connect the converter outputs (4) to the corresponding lamp cord plugs. Observe correct

polarity of the plugs (5).

Operating Information

Switch on the converter (1) using the power switch (3). If the converter is connected to a switched-
on receiver system or power source in the correct polarity, the lamp cords connected to the
converter light up. Use the switch (3) to switch from permanent lighting to flash operation by
changing the switch position.

Practical advice:

The converter can also be switched on and off via the remote control with a suitable
relay switch or similar device. The material for this is not included in the delivery and
can be assembled and installed from our wide range as desired.

Please note:

If the receiver is supplied with power via a BEC, this power supply is additionally
charged to the power demand of the receiver system. Perform practical tests to
determine whether all model operation remote control functions still work properly with
the additional load of the converter.

If the receiver system is powered by a battery or rechargeable battery back, the additional power
demand of the converter reduces the maximum possible operating time of the receiver system.
Perform a range test to ensure that the receiver system is not impaired by the converter.
The converter is designed for no more than 4 lamp cords. If not all outputs are used, the connected
lamp cords light a little brighter.
The light power of the lamp cords is the highest at the maximum permissible operating voltage
and slightly reduces when the voltage is reduced.

Intended Use

The converter serves as control gear for up to four lamp cords. The device is similar to a switched-
mode mains adapter and only requires little energy for operation. The installed switch can be
used to select permanent and flash operation and to switch off the converter.

Safety Information

Attention! The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting
from non-compliance with the operating instructions. We do not assume any
responsibility for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions! In
such cases the warranty/guarantee is void.

• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and

approval reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product. There are no components inside the
housing that need to be adjusted or serviced by you. Furthermore, the guarantee/warranty will
lapse in such a case!

• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children!
• The converter must not get damp or wet.
• Disconnect the converter from the power supply whenever the converter is not needed.
• The converter is suitable for operation of 1-4 lamp cords.
• When connecting the converter to a receiver or rechargeable battery, always observe correct

polarity! Black = minus, red = plus. If this is not observed, the converter will be destroyed. Loss
of guarantee/warranty!

• The converter can become hot during operation. Danger of burns!
• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows or when dropped even from

a low height.

• Always use a battery pack to operate the converter. Never use a mains adapter.
• Only connect the lamp cord offered as an accessory for the converter. Other makes can destroy

the converter due to deviating connection values. Loss of guarantee/warranty!

• The converter is not suitable for operation of LEDs or any kind of light bulbs! If this is not

observed, the converter will be destroyed. Loss of guarantee/warranty!

• High voltage is present at the converter outputs when it is switched on. Therefore, do not touch

these connections. If lamp cords are connected or disconnected, the converter must be taken
out of operation.

• When installing the converter, keep the biggest possible distance between receiver and

converter to avoid any interference.

• Do not install the aerial cable of the receiver in a parallel position to current-carrying cables. Do

not coil up the aerial cable. For example, use an aerial tube which protrudes from the model
in a perpendicular position.

• Before the first operation of the model, perform a function and range check with the converter

activated.

• Do not short-circuit the converter outputs. The resulting currents may destroy the converter.

Loss of guarantee/warranty!

• Check the converter and lamp cords for damage. If you discover any damage, do not operate

the model or the converter anymore.

• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
