Connection to the Receiver
• Connect the three-pin plug of the speed controller to the corresponding channel of the receiver.
Make sure the assignment on the receiver is correct (see operating instructions of the receiver
as well as the information on the receiver).

• The speed controller has a BEC. The receiver is powered directly through the speed controller
by the drive battery. If the BEC is used as power supply of the receiver system, no receiver
battery or rechargeable battery must be used!
Important!
In model vehicles at a scale of 1:8 / 1:6, the size (e.g. of the tyres), weight and high
speed require strong steering servos to be installed.
Such servos require lots of power for their steering task. Often, BEC systems are
overloaded by this requirement over time, in particular in rough outdoor use.
Therefore, we recommend using a separate high-current capable 5-cell receiver
battery (a so-called Hump battery pack) with a rated voltage of 6 V and sufficient
capacity for power supply instead of the BEC.
If a separate receiver power supply is to be used instead of the integrated BEC, the
middle, red, cable of the three-pin receiver plug of the speed controller must be
interrupted and isolated (e.g. with a shrink hose).
If this is not observed, the speed controller will be destroyed! Loss of guarantee/
warranty!
Operating Information
Note:
When switching between forward and reverse driving, the throttle lever must be put in neutral
position briefly (approx. 2 seconds).
If the throttle lever is shifted directly from forwards to reverse, the speed controller’s brake will be
activated (the vehicle will NOT go backwards!).
If the driving function or brake function is opposite to the movement of the throttle lever at the
transmitter, activate the reverse function at the transmitter or swap any two of the three motor
cables.
The speed controller is only ready to run when the orange LED remains lit and the motor has
signalled a sound sequence. If this is not the case (red and orange LED remain lit), throttle
trimming at the transmitter is mis-adjusted in most cases, or neutral position must be re-
programmed.
The orange LED on the speed controller flashes to signal overtemperature of the speed controller
(see „technical data“). In this case, stop driving at once and check, e.g. the transmission of the
drive and the function of the fan on the speed controller.
If the red LED flashes, the speed controller recognised undervoltage of the vehicle battery. In this
case, stop driving at once and charge the vehicle battery.
End of Operation
• First switch off the speed controller (put switch in the ”OFF” position).
• Disconnect the battery from the speed controller.
• Now switch off the transmitter.
Disposal
Dispose of the product according to the applicable statutory provisions at the end of
its service life.
