Installation and Setup
Overview
Overview
This is a quick overview of the physical and networks installation for a MOBOTIX Cloud installation.
Internet Connection
Install the Internet connection to the facility. Obtain as much bandwidth as you can at a reasonable cost.
Higher bandwidth provides faster response for the user. If using a 1MP HD camera, we recommend about
500 kbps upload speed per camera. Consumer-grade bandwidth is acceptable. You do not need "business
grade".
DHCP Enabled
It is best to make sure the router supplied by your Internet provider has DHCP-enabled. The MOBOTIX Cloud
Bridge and most cameras will use DHCP IP addresses by default. If you need to implement static IP addresses
on either the MOBOTIX Cloud Bridge or the cameras, please read the section
Optional Bridge and Camera Set-
.
