Step 1:
Drill and Mount Machine Assembly A1.
If you have a Wood Stand and need holes, see the included Drilling
Diagram and use the appropriate holes for the "NO HAMMER"
on the drawing. The appropriate size drill bit is

". You will be
drilling 5 holes for both Machine Assembly A1 & A2.
Insert three ¼" flat head screws in to Machine
Assembly A1 holes (while the Jaws are in the
closed position) and through the center beam
of your stand. There are two sets of Flat Head
screws included in the Hardware Bag the A) ¾"
length and B) 2¼" length. Set A is for use with
the Mitchell Metal Stand, and set B for use with
a Wood Stand. Use washer and Nylon Lock nut.
Step 2:
Mount Machine Assembly A2 and Connect.
Connect Machine Assembly A2 to the Center Board
Use two ¼" Hex Bolts, again there are two
different lengths for the Wood Stand or the
Mitchell Metal Stand. For the Wood Stand use
2¼" length and for the Metal Stand use ½" length.
There is an associated washer and Nylon Lock
Nut, one for each bolt.
Connect Machine Assembly A1 to Machine
Assembly A2 using a ¼" x 1" Hex Bolt. Insert
the two points of Assembly A1 in between the two
points of Assembly A2.
Connect the Spring of Assembly A2 to Hex Bolt of
Assembly A1, as shown.
To set the desired Jaw Opening, the when Foot Pedal is not pressed.
Step 3:
Mount Foot Pedal Assembly.
If you have a Wood Stand like the one described
in the "Wood Stand Instructions" locate the
Center of the back base board and drill 12"
from Either side as it is 24" in length. Again,
this will be a 5/16" hole.
Install the "Frame Bracket" to the Stand using the two front holes and two 2¼"
Hex bolts with associated Washer and Nylon Lock Nut.
Step 4:
Install the Connecting Bar.
The Connecting Bar is the last component to be installed.
Fasten the bottom first, then the top. Usually it will work out better (depending
on your stand and operator) if the back most hole is used on the Machine
Assembly and the Third from the top hole from the Connecting Bar are bolted.
Locate the 2¼" Hex Bolt and Nylon Lock Nut and fasten them to the bottom of
the Connecting Bar and Foot Pedal.
Locate the 1" Hex Bolt and Nylon Lock Nut and fasten the top of the Connecting
Bar to the Hook Lever of the Machine Assembly.
