If the digital drum is not y

menu, press the
[U

] b
utton to enter it.
The U
TILITY
indicator will light up. Y
ou can use the [ ] or [ ]
b
uttons to adjust parameters (as shown to the right ) for each
pad as well as the rim sensitivity
of the pad and the splash
sensitivity
of the Hi-Hat control pedal.
The current pad to b
e edited can b
e selected either b
y
pressing
its Pad Select b
utton, or b
y
striking the pad itself. The PAD
indicator will light up to show which pad is currently
selected. If
the rim of a pad is selected, b
oth the PAD indicator and the
RIM indicator will turn on.
Sensitivity:
Adjust the sensitivity
of the pad to regulate the pad
response. Higher settings result in higher sensitivity
, so that the
pad will produce a loud volume even when struck softly
. Y
ou
can also adjust the sensitivity
of the splash in SPLASH
SEN
SITIV
ITY
.
Threshold:
This setting allows a trigger signal to b
e received
only
when the pad is struck harder than a specified force. This
can b
e used to prevent a pad from sounding in response to
ex
traneous vib
rations from another pad.
Crosstalk:
W
hen two pads are mounted on the same stand, the
vib
ration produced b
y
hitting one pad may
trigger the sound
from another pad unintentionally
(This is called crosstalk). Y
ou
can avoid this prob
lem b
y
adjusting Crosstalk Cancel on the
pad that is sounding inadvertently
. If the value is set too high,
then when two pads are play
ed simultaneously
, the one that is
struck less forcefully
will not sound. So b
e careful and set this
parameter to the minimum value req
uired to prevent such
crosstalk. W
ith a setting of 0 , crosstalk prevention does not
function.
Curve:
This setting allows y
ou to control the relation b
etween
the velocity
(striking force) and changes in volume (the dy
namic
curve). Adjust this curve until the response feels as natural as
possib
le.
