Chapter 8 PERIODIC INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
Gauze Filter - Clean
If the gauze filter is clogged, the fuel supply becomes
insufficient, resulting in decrease in power output or
engine stall.
1.
Remove the eye bolt at the inlet port of fuel feed
pump.
2.
Using a screw driver, remove the gauze filter that is
fitted inside the eye bolt.
3.
Soak the gauze filter in the fuel, and clean it with a
brush.
4.
After cleaning, install the gauze filter into the eye
bolt using a screw driver.
5.
Install the eye bolt to the fuel feed pump.
6.
Bleed the air from the fuel filter.
