Operation of the demonstration equipment
Source the required demonstration equipment, and setup as in section 5.1. If a plotter is being
used refer to the operations manual for the particular unit and setup accordingly.
Throughout this example it is assumed that you will have read and understood both the FX
2N
-
20GM Hardware / Programming manual (JY992D77801) and the FX-PCS-VPS/Win-E
softtware manual (JY992D86801) or you will have then close at hand for reference.
For this example we will use the basic setup of Personal computer and FX
2N
-20GM.
Let’s draw the locus shown below driven by the X and Y axes simultaneously. The output Y0 is
added to imitate a pen, or other end effector.
A: Start point, this point can be anywhere.
B: (0,0), Zero point, wait for 2 seconds.
C: (80,100), Output Y0 turns ON, wait for 2 seconds.
D: (110,200).
E: (200,200).
F: (200,100).
G: (150,100), Output Y0 turns OFF, wait for 2 seconds.
H: (150,70), End point.
A to B - Return to Electrical Zero.
B to C - High speed positioning.
C to D - Linear interpolation.
D to E - High speed positioning.
E to F - Clockwise circular interpolation.
F to G - High speed positioning.
G to H - High speed positioning.
