MITSUBISHI RACK MOUNT ADAPTER DX-RM5(ZD)
INSTALLATION TO THE EIA RACK
By using this bracket set, you can install the HDD Extension Unit to the EIA rack. Space for
one unit is required for installing.
INCLUDED ITEMS
• Bracket

• Installation manual (This sheet) x 1
NOTE:
• Do not remove the top cover on the
Extension Unit.
• When installing, be sure to turn off the
Extension Unit's power and unplug the
power cord from the power outlet. To
protect the HDDs, do not move the
Extension Unit at least one minute
after the power is turned off.
• Do not place heavy objects on the
Extension Unit after installing the
Extension Unit to the rack.
1 Remove 4 insulators at the bottom.
Unscrew the screws to remove the
insulaors.
2 Remove 2 screws from one side of the
Extension Unit.
Screw on the
HDD Extension Unit
3 Fix the bracket to the Extension Unit with
the removed screws.

4 Fix it on the other side in the same way.
5 Install the Extension Unit anywhere on
the EIA rack with 2 screws.
• Use screws that fit the rack.
• If you install the Extension Unit to the
rack of universal pitch type, attach the
screws as shown by (A).

• If you install the Extension Unit to the
rack of wide pitch type, attach the
screws as shown by (B).

6 Fix the other side of the Extension Unit
in the same way.
