The Outlander PHEV is designed to charge almost anywhere, using any of three charging methods.

The Outlander PHEV offers all-electric 4-wheel drive capability,
meaning you can enjoy the confidence of Mitsubishi Motors’ rally-bred
Super All-Wheel Control (S AWC) even in zero-emissions EV Drive Mode.
This specially engineered S AWC system features four driver selectable
settings and uses the vehicle’s front and rear electric motors to
deliver traction to the wheels that need it most, whenever they need
it. Normal Mode offers well-balanced, 4-wheel drive performance
resulting in enhanced efficiency, traction, high-speed stability and
predictable handling based on road and driving conditions. Snow Mode
enhances stability under more slippery conditions… particularly
important given our harsh Canadian winters.
Lock Mode provides maximum torque
distribution to all four wheels at all times
for drivers who prefer to take the road
less travelled, or for situations where more
traction is required.
For the ultimate exhilarating driving
experience, SPORT Mode delivers a more
spirited acceleration and an optimized
front-to-rear power distribution for
enhanced steering response in corners.
