5.3 Inching Operation
Operation procedure of the inching operation
The inching operation is performed in the following procedure.
• Mechanical elements such as limit switches are considered as already installed.
• Setting parameters is the common operation for all controls using the RD75.

Create a program to set Cd.16 Inching movement
amount. (control data setting)
Create a program to turn on JOG start signal using
an inching operation start command.
Write the programs created on STEP 1 and STEP 2
to the CPU module.
Turn on JOG start signal of the axis to be started.
Monitor the inching operation state.
Turn off JOG start signal that is on.
One of the following two methods can be used.
Method 1
Directly set (write) the parameters to the RD75
using an engineering tool.
Method 2
Set (write) the parameters from the CPU module
to the RD75 using the program (TO instruction).

Turn on JOG start signal.
Monitor using an engineering tool.
Forward run JOG start signal
Reverse run JOG start signal
Axis 1 Axis 2 Axis 3 Axis 4
The inching operation ends when the object has
moved the inching movement amount
with the program of STEP 2.
