IO-Link device validation function
This function validates compatibility and identity of the IO-Link device connected to each channel.
This function can be used to recognize connection with unintended IO-Link devices when replacing IO-Link devices.
Check that the connected IO-Link device is an intended one, and review the connection or disable the IO-Link device
validation setting to validate the IO-Link device after replacement.
The CQ LED indicates the result of IO-Link device validation. (
Description
The following table lists validation types and items to be validated.
For this function, set the validation type for each channel on the parameter setting window of the engineering tool or via a
program.
For confirmation of data to be read/written in transient communication (access code: 21H), set the validation type to either of
the above to validate the device.
To apply changes of settings made in processing other than the initial processing and parameter setting on an engineering
tool, turn on Operation condition setting request flag (RWw0.b9).
For details on setting parameters via a program, refer to the following.
To use the IO-Link device validation function with "Initial operation setting" being set to "Without initial
processing", set "Initial operation setting" to "Without initial processing" again after the device validation
setting.
If not, the correct value is not stored.
For details on the initial operation setting, refer to the following.

Preparation
When performing compatibility validation and identity validation, confirm the vendor ID, device ID, and serial number of the IO-
Link device.
The following describes the procedure for confirming the vendor ID, device ID, and serial number of the IO-Link device.
1.
Display the "Command Execution of Slave Station" window.
From the list of stations, select an IO-Link module
