Modem Link
Using Modem Link, you can use your Smartphone as an external modem for another device or
computer. Modem Link allows you to use infrared for this connection.
To activate the Modem Link:
1.
Make sure that your Smartphone is not connected to another device.
2.
On the Home screen, press the Programs soft key, select Accessories , then Modem Link ,
and then press the Action button.
3. Under Connection , select IrCOMM.
4. Press the Menu soft key, select Activate , and then press the Action button.
5. Align the Smartphone’s infrared (IR) port to the device.
6.
To deactivate the Modem Link, press the Menu soft key, select Deactivate , and then press the
Action button.

Your Smartphone supports IR link only, not supports COM or USB connection.
Failing to deactivate the Modem Link when you are finished using it may result in problems with
using ActiveSync in the same session.
