Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock and/or injury, 
these basic safety precautions should always be followed:

Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel you 
are quite familiar with the appliance.

• 

 To protect against electric shock DO NOT  

 IMMERSE any part of this appliance, in water or  
 any other liquid.

 •       This appliance is not intended for use by children   
        or infi rm persons without supervision. Never  
        leave an appliance unattended when in use.

  •      Young children should be supervised    
        to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

•       Switch off and remove the plug from the power  
        outlet before cleaning or when not in use. To  
        unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the power  
        outlet. Never pull cord. Never carry the appliance  
        by the cord.

•       Do not operate any appliance with a damaged  
        cord or plug, or after  the appliance  

 

        malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any  
        manner.

•       Do not let cord hang over edge of table or  
        counter, or touch hot surfaces. Do not place any  
        part of this appliance on or near a hot gas or  
        electric burner or in a heated oven.

•       Do not use this appliance for anything other than  
        its intended use. This product is intended for  
        household use only.

•       Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the  
        appliance. There are no user serviceable parts. 

•       Do not use outdoors.

•       Never insert utensils into the Kettle.

•       This product has been designed to heat  
        water only.

•       Do not touch hot surfaces. Allow to cool  
        before cleaning.

•       DO NOT OVERFILL, as boiling water may be  
        ejected. The maximum level is marked on the  
        water window.  

•       DO NOT UNDERFILL. Always put enough water  
        in the Kettle to cover the minimum level marked  
        on the water window.

 •       Do not lift the lid while boiling water in the Kettle.

  •      The Kettle should always be operated on a  
        level surface. Operating the Kettle on sinks,  
        drainboards, inclined or uneven surfaces should  
        be avoided.

•       Avoid contact with steam from the spout  
        when water is boiling, or just after the Kettle has  
        switched off. Take care when opening the lid for  
        refi lling when the kettle is hot.

•       Extreme caution is necessary when moving any  
        appliance containing hot water. Wait until the  
        appliance has switched off automatically, or  
        switch off manually, before removing from  
        the stand. 

•       Do not move the Kettle whilst it is switched on.

•       The Kettle must only be used with the    
        base provided.

  •      

Warning:

 Do not place the base unit onto a  

        metal tray or metal surface whilst in use.

•       Do not operate unless the element is    
        fully immersed.

•       Caution should be taken when opening any  
        kettle lid immediately after boiling as hot water  
        droplets and/or steam may come into contact  
        with your skin and burn. Allow kettle to cool  
        before opening the lid.

FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 
MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE KETTLE.

COMPULSORY WARNING
If the supply cord is damaged it must be 
replaced by the manufacturer or its service 
agent or a similarly qualifi ed person in order to 
avoid a hazard.

Note: No user serviceable parts inside. 
Unauthorised modifi cation voids warranty. 
Return to place of purchase for replacement or 
service under warranty.
