Wine Cellaring Tips

For wine to last as long as the wine maker suggests
it needs to be stored in the correct conditions. Badly
stored wines may age prematurely, oxidise and
become undrinkable in a very short period of time.
Wine experts recommend a constant temperature
of 12

°

-14

°

C as ideal for cellaring reds, whites and

sparkling wine.

Your  Wine Cellar has a variable temperature
controller so you can use it to cellar wines at a
constant temperature or you may choose to chill
wines prior to serving.

Thermostat Control

The first time you turn the unit on, set the
temperature control to “5” position.

The settings of the temperature control are
“0,1,2,3,4,5”. After 20 minutes, adjust the
temperature control setting to “3”. The setting of
“3” should be correct for home or office use as the
temperature range is generally between 11

°

- 14

°

at this setting.

To turn the Wine Cellar off, turn the temperature
control to “0”.

The range between “1” and “5” is from  7° to 18°C.
This depends greatly on where the Cellar is stored.
You should put your appliance in the coolest place in
your room, which can save energy consumption of
your appliance.

If the environment temperature is too high, the
temperature in the Wine Cellar may not reach the
target temperature.

With the variable temperature controller you can
adjust the setting to accommodate the climate you
live in. For example, in the warmer states you may
need to turn the dial to “4” to store your wine at the
ideal temperature as the external temperature will
affect what the Wine Cellar’s internal temperature is.
In the cooler states it may be necessary to lower the
setting to “2”.

How to operate

Cautions

•

Moisture can become trapped inside the Wine
Cellar by opening doors, forming a layer of frost
inside. It will weaken the Wine Cellar when the
frost is thick. When it is greater than 2mm thick,
you should defrost your Wine Cellar.

•

Defrosting is operated manually. Before
defrosting, remove contents, then set
the knob of the temperature controller to
position”0”(where the compressor will stop
working) and leave the door open until ice has
dissolved thoroughly.

•

In the case of speeding up the defrosting, you
may put a bowl of warm water (about 50

°

C)

into the evaporator, and be sure to set the
knob of the temperature regulator to original
position after defrosting. It’s inadvisable to
heat the evaporator directly with hot water or a
hair dryer while defrosting as this may result in
damaging  the inner case.

Note: Turning the temperature control to “0”
position stops the cooling cycle, but does not
shut off the power to the wine Cellar.

If the unit is unplugged, power lost, or turned off,
you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the
unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay,
the Wine Cellar will not start.
