PROBLEMS AND REASONS
BEFORE REQUESTING SERVICE
Please check the following table, if you encounter problems with the unit. If the problem continues
after taking the proper remedial actions, disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet. Take
the items out of the freezer and put them to another container. Then contact the authorized service
centre.
Fault Possible Cause
No refrigeration at all • The power supply is interrupted.
• The power cord plug is disconnected from the wall outlet.
• The thermostat knob is set to «MIN» or «OFF».
Inadequate refrigeration • The place of installation is badly ventilated.
• The freezer is exposed to direct sunlight, or is placed near a heater or a cooker.
• The lid is frequently opened.
• The lid is not firmly closed.
• The thermostat knob is set to «MIN» or «OFF».
• There is a lot of frost in the appliance.
Excessive noise • The floor underneath the freezer is not steady enough.
• The unit is shaking and rattling.
• The rear panel of the unit contacts the wall.
• There is an object/objects behind the chest freezer.
• The compressor will operate rather loudly for a while after operation is
started. The noise will cease together with refrigeration.
Condensation on the
exterior surface
Condensation may form on the exterior surface and on the lid during hot
and humid days or depending on the place of installation. It occurs when
the humidity is high and water particles in the air contact cold surfaces. It is
normal. Wipe away condensation with a dry cloth.
