Removing Expansion-Card Riser 2

Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the appliance cover and
access any of the components inside the appliance. Before you begin this procedure,
review the safety instructions that came with the appliance.

You must remove all expansion cards from the expansion-card riser before
removing the riser from the appliance.

The appliance does not start with a riser board removed.
To remove expansion-card riser 2:
1.
Power off the appliance, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the
appliance from the electrical outlet.
2.
Open the appliance. See

Disconnect all cables connected to the expansion card.
4.
Remove any expansion cards from the expansion-card riser. See
5.
Press the blue release latch on expansion-card riser 2 and lift the riser straight
up to clear the chassis (
Installing Expansion-Card Riser 2
To install expansion-card riser 2:
1.
Align the guides on each end of expansion-card riser 2 with the mounting pins
on the appliance board, and lower the riser into the appliance until the latches
on the riser the engage (

Reinstall any expansion cards. See
3.
Reconnect all expansion-card cables.
4.
Close the appliance. See
5.
Reconnect your appliance and peripherals to their electrical outlets, and power
on the appliance.
