RAIL TRACK INSTALLATION
TOOLS NEEDED:
Electric Drill
1/8", 1/4" Drill Bits
Phillips Screwdriver
7/16 Wrench or Socket

To assist in preventing corrosion, we recommend applying auto touch-up paint to
all bare metal after drilling.
1. Be sure the pick-up truck rail surfaces (1) are free of attachments, pre-existing burrs, bends and dirt.
2. Position the rail tracks (2) as far forward as possible on each bed rail with the cut away section fitted against
the front of the bed.
3. Carefully feel under the inside lip of your bed rail to locate three unobstructed bolting positions per rail track.
Be sure to choose bolting positions that:
a. allow the front and rear bolts to be positioned as far toward the ends of the rail tracks as possible.
b. allow access to install the washer and nyloc nut with a 7/16 wrench.
c. space the bolts evenly apart along the rail track.
4. Locate the V-groove along the inside lip of the rail track. Using a sharp 1/8" drill bit and the V-groove as a
guide, drill 1 hole through the rail track and truck bed rail in your predetermined position.
Toyota Tundra Owners
only: Drill between V-groove and bottom edge of rail.
5. Using a sharp 1/4" drill bit, drill the hole again.
6. If your truck has a bed rail lip (Diagram A), insert a bolt (3) through the rail track, the nylon spacer (6) and the
truck bed rail (1) as shown. If bed rail lip is not present (Diagram B), do not use the nylon spacer. Install one
washer (5) and one nyloc nut (4) to each bolt behind the inside of the bed rail.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver and a 5/16 wrench or socket snug the nut and bolt.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for all remaining bolting positions.
