Night-vision ‘scopes are needed when
binoculars, even with top light-gathering
power and high twilight factor, approach
their optical limits. Whether for orientation
purposes on land or at sea, for viewing,
observation and hunting or for protecting
objects: the MINOX NV 300 permits silent
and discrete observation even in advanced
twilight and at night. For this purpose, light
frequencies from the brightness of stars or
horizon radiation, which are not visible to the
naked eye, are amplified and objects pointed
to are reproduced in a brilliant, clear and
pin-sharp image through the excellent,
multi-coated lens systems in combination
with an incorporated infrared illuminator.The
optical system of the MINOX NV 300 which
weights a mere 490 g /1lb, provides a 10,000
x light amplification and 2.5x magnification.

The integrated infrared illuminator extends
the field of application of the compact night-
vision ‘scope. Even in absolute darkness ob-
jects in a distance up to 35 m / 115 feet can
be viewed.

Besides its outstanding technical qualities
and the famous MINOX compact dimen-
sions, the  innovative night-vision ‘scope
boasts superb design features. The ergo-
nomic shape of the body with a special
soft-touch lacquer finish, allows extremely
easy handling.

The ever-ready case which is included in the
scope of delivery guarantees a weather-
proof, safe storage and makes the MINOX
NV 300 the ideal companion for all outdoor
activities at night.

Night visions are opto-electronical viewing devi-
ces. Equipped with photocathode tubes, they en-
hance the remaining light at night to enable the
user to see where it is too dark for the human eye.

Mode of operation :

1) The remaining light is collected in the lens

and will be focussed on the photocathode
tube.

2) Inside the photocathode tube is a photo

cathode which transforms the light energy
(Photons) into electrical energy (Electrons).

3) In an electrostatic field inside the photo-

cathode tube the Electrons are accelerated
and hit the phosphorus screen at a high
velocity. The collision frees light (Photons)
on the other side. The light intensity is now
much higher than it was before it entered
the photocathode tube.
