Clearing Media Jams

Duplex Option

Pull the top of the duplex option to
open the duplex option cover.

Remove the jammed media in the directions shown in the illustrations.

Close the duplex option

’

s cover.

If the optional Tray 2 is installed, close the lower-right door.

Output Tray

Remove jammed media from the output tray by gently pulling it to the left
away from the media exit area.

Sometimes media that jams in the output tray is pulled back into the
duplex option, even if the job was not duplexed. If that happens,
remove the media from the duplex option following the instructions in
“Duplex Option” on page 124.
