GENERAL ENGINE
INFORMATION

Keep your fuel tank and fuel storage tank filled
with fresh fuel and out of direct sunlight.

Use a fuel stabilizer along with fresh fuel when
your engine is stored
∆
Use a gas station with a reputation for quality
fuel.
FUEL INFORMATION:

Honda engines are certified
and designed to run on regular
unleaded gasoline.
∆
Do not use gasoline containing
more than 10% ethanol in your
Honda powered equipment.
∆
Keep your engine’s air filter
properly serviced. Check it be-
fore each use.
∆
E85 contains 85% ethanol and must not be
used in Honda engines.
Is there Fuel in the tank?
Fill with fuel.
Is the fuel value “ON” or “OPEN”?
Turn the fuel value to the “ON” or “OPEN”
position.
Is the engine stop switch at “ON”?
Turn the switch to the “ON” position.
Is the engine equipped with a battery?
Check the charge on the battery. Charge or
replace as necessary.
Is the choke lever at the “ON” position?
Move the choke lever to the “ON” position.
Does the carburetor float chamber contain stale
glass.
Drain the oil fuel. Fill the tank with fresh
gasoline.
Fill With recommended amount of oil.
Is the oil level sufficient?
Is the air cleaner clogged?
Is th spark plug fouled?
If the engine still does not start, take it to am authorized Honda Engine Dealer.
Clean or replace if necessary.
Clean the air cleaner or replace if necessary.
Is the sparkplug fouled?
Is the air cleaner clogged?
Is the carburetor clogged?
If the engine still does not preform properly, take it to an authorized Honda
Engine dealer.
Inspect and replace if necessary.
Clean the air cleaner or replace if necessary.
Clean the carburetor or consult a Honda
dealer
