5.6.
Delete function
The Delete function permanently removes the selected file from the system.
If this function is selected from the Gallery menu, then a window is displayed
asking the user to confirm that this file is to be deleted and if the user presses OK
then the file is removed.
N.B. The Delete function may take a short time to execute, so to show how much
of the function has been completed, a ‘progress bar’ is displayed on the screen (see
below).
5.7.
Un-mounting external memory
Before any external memory device (SD card or USB memory stick) is removed from
the unit, it must be un-mounted.
To do this open the ‘Gallery’ and select the memory which needs to be removed
using the up
y
and down
z
arrows on the keypad.
Press
and select the Remove option.
During the un-mounting process, the memory icon next to the fuel gauge will show
a downward pointing, green arrow with a red cross over it to show that the
memory should not be removed. For the SD memory and USB memories the icons
will look like this:-
