GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VAHEART
OPERATING THE VAHEART
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4 – 6 hours before
using.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Soft-spoken voices may not record as well as
louder ones. We recommend not keeping the device in your bag or
pocket while recording. Hanging the device from a lanyard around
your neck, belt loop, bag, etc. will produce the best results.
HOW TO CHARGE VAHEART
1.
Make sure the device is turned off.
2.
Plug the provided MicroUSB cable into the MicroUSB port on
the device (see previous page).
3.
Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of your
computer.
o
The indicator light will blink red while charging.
o
When the device is fully charged, the indicator light
will be solid red.
NOTICE: The indicator light is hard to see. You may need to cup your
hand against the device to see the light properly.
HOW TO START AUDIO RECORDING
1.
Press and hold the On/Off button for two seconds, then
release.
2.
The indicator light will turn red, and the device has entered
voice activation mode.
3.
When the device detects sound, the indicator light will turn
blue, flash 5 times, then disappear.
o
The device is now recording.
NOTICE: Since the device is voice activated, it will automatically stop
recording if the voices are too quiet. When the voices rise in volume,
the device will automatically resume recording.
