Main Screen
The main screen provides a simple and easy-to-use interface for setting the SSG to produce
CW RF
signals (See
Figure 3.3

3.3.1
Top Row (Fig 3.3):
These buttons allow the user to switch between output modes in order to enable swept, hopped, or
pulsed output sequences. Changing modes will not, on its own, cause a change in the generator output
signal.
3.3.2
Frequency (Fig 3.3):
Frequency Display
–
Shows the signal frequency and can be changed by dragging the scroll bar
beneath the display for a large change, clicking on the arrows at either side of
the scrollbar for a small change, or typing in the desired value.
Frequency Incr. Set
– Button on the right of the frequency scroll bar – clicking on it opens the
Frequency Scroll Bar Step Size window (see section
) which allows you to
set the size of the large and small frequency changes implemented by the
scroll bar and arrows.
Frequency Units
– Select either
MHz
or
GHz
units for the Frequency display.

Power (Fig 3.3):
Power Display
–
Shows the signal output power and can be changed by dragging the scroll bar
beneath the display for a large change, clicking on the arrows at either side of the
scrollbar for a small change, or typing in the desired value.
Power Incr. Set
– Button on the right of the power scroll bar – clicking on it opens the Power
Scroll Bar Power
Step Size
window (see section
) which allows you to set the
size of the large and small power changes implemented by the scroll bar and
arrows.
Power Units

Select

units for the power display.
