5.2 Settings at the Side of the Instrument to the Save Area
5.2.1 Interface Cards PR1601/00, PR1602/00 and PR1604/00
5.2.1.1 Insert interface Cards
•
Open the instrument, see chapter 5.1.
•
Insert the interface card to the respective place on the power supply card (black coloured block) and fix
it to the distance bolt by means of a M3 screw.

Indicate the particular settings in the following chapters.
5.2.1.2 PR1601/00 Interface TTY
Component side Soldering side, active current loop mode
The solder links are provided on the soldering side of the interface card. The serial in/output of the interface
can be set by the solder links
X803 and X804 to an active or passive current loop mode.
Note:
Passive current loop mode = default settings
In the active mode the current loops are supplied by a galvanic isolated voltage of the instrument (in which
the interface is inserted).
In the passive mode the current loops must be supplied by an external power supply unit (with 12…31 V DC;
e.g. PR1624, 24 V DC, 500 mA) or a connecting instrument with an active interface.
