Troubleshooting
4.1 Overview
In this chapter, syringe pump problems are listed along with possible causes and
recommended corrective actions. For troubleshooting, refer to the corresponding
fault table and check, locate, and eliminate the faults in sequence.
The recommended solutions given in this chapter address most of the equipment
problems you encounter, but do not include any problems that may arise. Contact us
if you have a problem that is not covered in this section.
4.2 Part Replacement
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other major parts and components in the syringe
pump are replaceable. Once you isolate a PCB you suspect defective, follow the
instructions in Chapter 5 Maintenance and Disassembly to replace the PCB with a
known good one. Verify that the fault is eliminated and that the syringe pump passes
related tests. If the fault is eliminated, it indicates that the original PCB is damaged.
In this case, send the defective PCB to us for repair. If the failure persists, reinstall
the original PCB and continue troubleshooting as directed in this chapter.
To obtain information on replacement parts or order them, refer to Chapter 6 Parts.
4.3 Checking Syringe Pump Status
Operation method of fault diagnosis screen and corresponding test content
Operation method of entering the fault diagnosis screen: Select [Main Menu] →
[Maintenance] → [Factory Maintenance] → input the factory maintenance password
→ [Fault Diagnosis].
Speed--Set the motor speed (1-15000r/h).
Direction--Set the motor direction (Infusion, backflush).
SP3 current--Set the motor drive current gear.
(0-100%, the larger the value, the smaller the current. The gear is not continuous,
wherein:
[0,49]: First gear current
[50,74]: Second gear current
[75,99]: Third gear current
[100]: Fourth gear current
Steps--Number of steps that the stepper motor has turned
RS--AD value of rotary potentiometer (Normal range 500-3600), the AD value is
about 3000 when no syringe is installed.
DS--AD value of long potentiometer (Normal range 0-4095), when the push and
pull box is pushed to the leftmost end, the AD value is about 4000.
