5. MA845 PROBE DESCRIPTION
The
MA845
probe uses a polarographic dissolved oxygen sensor with a built-in thermistor
that allows stable, temperature compensated readings.
The sensor makes use of a platinum cathode, a silver wire anode and electrolyte
solution protected by an oxygen permeable membrane. Oxygen that passes through the
membrane causes a current flow, from which the oxygen concentration is determined.
The membrane is fixed to a detachable cap that allows for simple replacement and
priming.
The probe has a reinforced plastic body for durability.
