12. When the keep warm process is over, open the lid and loosen the
cooked rice with the scoop provided. This must be done whether
the cooked rice is to be served at once or to be keep warm.
13. To stop the keep warm function, simply switch off the power supply.
Food Steaming:
1. To steam food, simply add sufficient water into the inner pot,
followed by placing the steam tray on top of the inner pot. The
minimum amount of water recommended is at least 4 cups of water.
2. Close the lid and press down the cooking switch to start steaming.
3. Check steaming status and "pull/lift up" the power switch as and
when the steaming is considered done. Beware of hot steam when
opening lid.
4. More water may be added to prolong the steaming function but the
water should never reach or touch the base of the steam tray when
placed in the inner pot. Be extremely careful of hot steam when
adding water. Never steam until there is no more water in the inner
pot as this will permanently damage the inner pot.
5. Alternatively, food steaming can be done together with cooking rice.
6. When cooking rice and steaming food at the same time, the
maximum capacity for cooking rice is 6 cups of uncooked rice.
