7-5. Jump Starting Procedure

Charge battery for 10 minutes
before jump starting battery
(see Section 7-4).
Set Output (Contactor)
Switch to Remote. Turn
Off Remote Device.
Set A/V control to max (100) and Ampere
Range switch to CV position.
Charge Battery For 10
MInutes (See Section 7-4).
Press Remote Momentary On Switch
While Cranking Engine Of Equipment Be-
ing Jump Started. Release Switch When
Equipment Starts. Stop Welding Generator
And Disconnect Cables.
Press switch only
while cranking en-
gine of equipment
being started.
Set Charge/Jump Start
Switch To Jump Start.
Do not switch Ampere Ranges
while under load.
SECTION 8 − MAINTENANCE & TROUBLESHOOTING
The air compressor normally requires service every 1200 hours of operation if
used regularly and operated in a clean, dry environment. The compressor will
require service more often if used infrequently or operated in dirty, humid
conditions.
To help minimize air compressor maintenance, use sufficient quantities of air to
allow compressor to cycle for a minimum of one hour per week.

Follow the storage procedure in the engine owner’s manual if the unit will not be
used for an extended period.
