PUSH BUTTONS
The EasyPIC5 has 36 push buttons which
can be used to change states of digital
inputs on the microcontroller ports. Con-
nection between buttons and PORTA,
PORTB, PORTC, PORTD and PORTE is
shown in Figure 22. Jumper J17 deter-
mines whether a button press will bring
logic zero (0) or logic one (1) to the appro-
priate pin. When the button is released,
the pin state is determined by pull-up or
pull-down port jumpers. As seen in the
Figure below, J17 is connected to +5V,
which means that the button press will
bring logic one (1) to the appropriate pin.
