QUICKGUIDE FOCUS TIG 160 DC HP
1 Welding current
Adjustable from 10A to 160A.
2 Digital display
Display of the set/actual welding
current.
3 Overheating
The LED shines if the machine is
overheated. The machine reconnects
automatically.
4 Welding voltage
The LED shines for safety reasons when
the electrode or TIG torch is under
voltage.
5 Function switch
Choose between MMA or TIG welding,
HF or LIFTIG
® ignition, and 2-times or
4-times ignition in TIG welding.
6 Pulse welding
Choose between TIG welding with
pulse or without pulse. In pulse
welding, set the pulse current time,
base current time and base current.
7 Setting welding current
Internal control: Turn the control
knob at the display to set the welding
current.
Torch control: Set the welding current
on the TIG torch. Use the control knob
at the display to set the max. welding
current.
Remote control: Set the welding
current by means of the foot control
unit. Use the control knob at the
display to set the max. welding
current. When the foot control unit is
connected, the machine must always
be in 2-times mode.
8 Gas post-flow
Adjustable from 0 to 30 seconds.
9 Slope-down
Adjustable from 0 to 10 seconds.
10 Base current time
Adjustable from 0.003 to 2 seconds.
11 Pulse current time
Adjustable from 0.003 to 2 seconds.
12 Base current
Adjustable from 0-100% of the set
pulse current (pulse current = set
welding current).
13 Plus/minus polarity
Connect earth cable and electrode
cable to plus or minus polarity,
depending on electrode type. A TIG
torch with manual gas adjustment
should always be connected to minus
polarity.
14 7 pole plug
For connection of the TIG torch signal
cable or foot control unit or MMA
pocket control unit.
15 Gas connection
Outlet for connection of the gas hose
of the TIG torch.
