Safety control

Ÿ

The heater is fitted with a safety device which switches it off in the event of

accidental overheating (e.g. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning

slowly or not operating at all). To reset, unplug the appliance from the mains socket

for a few minutes, remove the cause of overheating then plug in again. If it occurs

repeatedly contact an approved

  service center for advice.

Ÿ

The heater is fitted with a tip over safety device which turns the appliance off if it

falls over or is positioned inappropriately in such a way that jeopardize safety. If this

happen, place the heater upright again, but take care as it may still be hot. The

heater will turn on again automatically once it is back in an upright position.

WARNING: Always place the appliance on a smooth, horizontal surface. Avoid

putting it on carpets in order to prevent failure of the safety switch.

Indicator light

This fan heater is equipped with an indicator light which glows whenever the heater is

plugged in and turned on. This feature is to prevent you from being unaware that the

heater is operating and maintaining the temperature of the room. If you do not want

the heater to adjust the room temperature, turn the power switch to “0” position and

remove the plug from the socket.

Cleaning and maintenance

1 Always disconnect the cord from the electric outlet when cleaning your heater.

2 Light accumulated dust could be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or a

vacuum cleaner, using the dusting brush attachment, interior dust can often be

removed by using a vacuum cleaner using its blower mode with a crevice tool

attachment.

3 Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally with a moistened cloth (not

wet) with a solution of mild detergent and water. Dry the case thoroughly with a soft

dry cloth before operating the heater.

CAUTION: Do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could

create fire or electric shock.

4 The fan motor is factory lubricated for life, and will require no further lubrication.

5 No other user maintenance is required or recommended. If maintenance service is

required, send your heater to an approved

 maintenance service center.

6 Store heater in a clean dry place when not in use.

REMEMBER - portable electric heaters are designed for spot heating, or as a

supplementary heat source. They are not intended to be a main source of heat

during the normal heating season.

time. Do not be alarmed, this is normal. It will quickly evaporate, and should not
