Lubricating the coupling seal
If, after prolonged use, the water con-
tainer becomes difficult to remove
and replace or the fault message
appears, rub a small amount of the
silicone grease supplied (see “Guide
to the appliance” – ”Accessories sup-
plied”) into the inside of the coupling
seal.
Do not take the sealing ring out to lub-
ricate it.
Danger of injury caused by silic-
one grease.
Silicone grease can irritate mucous
membranes.
Remove any silicone grease from
your skin either by wiping it off or by
washing it off.
If the grease gets into the eyes, it
must be rinsed out with plenty of
clean water.
Seek medical attention if silicone
grease has been swallowed.
The coupling seal should be replaced
with a new one if it becomes brittle or
porous or if an unusually large
amount of water collects on the floor
of the water container compartment.
Coupling seals can be ordered from the
Miele Customer Service Department
(see the end of this booklet for contact
details).
Only use the silicone grease sup-
plied. On no account must margar-
ine, oil or any other domestic grease
or fat be used, as these can cause
the seal to swell.
