Switching on
When the canopy is pushed right up
(retracted), the cooker hood is
switched off and cannot be operated.
To be switched on the canopy must be
pulled down slightly.
When the canopy is pulled down a few
centimetres to the "light position" the
hob illumination can be switched on or
off.
When the canopy is pulled down fur-
ther ("fan position") all the other func-
tions can be activated.
The first time
the cooker hood is
switched on and the canopy pulled
down it will run as follows (factory set-
ting):
– Light on.
– Power level II.
The fan motor can be switched off by
pressing the left hand power level con-
trol. To switch on again, press the right
hand control.
Selecting the power level
Depending on how much the air needs
to be filtered, there are four power
levels available. For normal cooking a
low to medium level is usually suffi-
cient. For frying or cooking food with a
strong aroma the fourth level (intensive
setting) is recommended.
Setting the power level manually:
low setting
Intensive setting
Select the power level required by
pressing the left or right touch con-
trol.
The indicator lamps show which power
level has been chosen.
Setting the power level automatically:
Press the "AUTO" touch control.
The indicator lamp for the touch control
comes on. The power setting can now
be regulated by drawing down the ca-
nopy or pushing it up.
