4.0 OPERATION

Depress the dial on the combination gas control while lighting the pilot burner. Hold the
dial in for 30 to 45 seconds until the pilot remains lit. Release the dial. Pilot should remain
lit.
NOTE: A lit taper, long wooden match or barbecue lighter is recommended for easy
access in the lighting of the pilot burner.
6.
Turn dial on combination gas control to “ON.”
SHUT DOWN:
STANDBY:
1.
Turn combination control to “PILOT” position.
COMPLETE SHUTDOWN:
1.
Turn combination control to “OFF” by lightly depressing the dial and turning clockwise to
the “OFF” position.
2.
Turn thermostat to “OFF.”
3.
Turn power switch “OFF.”
4.
Turn gas service valves supplying gas to the unit “OFF.”
RELIGHTING:
1.
Shut off all gas supply and turn combination gas control to “OFF.”
2.
Wait five minutes.
3.
Repeat the “LIGHTING” instructions in “START UP” section.
