The Adsorptive Properties window is used to specify the characteristics of the gases used during an
analysis.
Field or Button Description
Adsorptive text box
Enter a description of the adsorptive gas or select the adsorptive using the
Replace
button.
Mnemonic text box
Enter the mnemonic of the adsorptive gas.
Non-ideality factor

text box
Enter a factor to compensate for the forces of attraction between molecules
in a real gas. This value is used for a calculated free space.
Density conversion

factor text box
Enter the density conversion factor which is determined by obtaining the
ratio of the gas density (STP) to the liquid volume.
Molecular

cross-sectional area
text box
Enter the molecular cross-sectional area.
